Two young men from the Jaafar family were injured by gunfire from unknown assailants in the outskirts of the town of Al-Qasr, near the Lebanese-Syrian border. Investigations have been launched to determine the motives and identify the perpetrators.

The Lebanese army has deployed reinforcements along the border near Al-Qasr.
